Another Short Cut

Yesterday we went to Paulina, IA to see Pat, a friend from AZ, at her daughters before she goes back to Tucson today. It was an hour down there and 1 hour 45 minutes back--via the short-cut. The short cut involved a road closed, driving on gravel roads and several extra miles. I expected to see some fall colors but the trees were mostly green. The beans and some of the corn are drying up but not very beautiful.
