Back @ the lake

Much damage from the winter. This tree has fallen across our lake access. DNR does not seem real interested in moving it. The fishing boats can squeeze by.

This is our neighbor across the street. The porch roof caved in with the weight of the snow. The stove makes it look like maybe this is the time for a bit of remodeling? There is a door on the pile this morning.
Quite a few neighbors have damage from the snow. A house/garage down the street is getting a new roof, down to the rafters. Our neighbors to the west, floors buckled. Another has all ready replaced their roof.

Another neighbors boat hoist. Must be waiting for the cover to fall in??

Last spring Dave divided all the hostas and planted this hosta garden. It looks like they all survived the winter. Thanks Dave. We did our part by keeping the deer out with the fence and bench. The bench is to discourage deer from jumping the fence. We haven't noticed any deer damage. Maybe the snow was to deep??

The hay field. The cottonwoods have started to do their thing. We did get this mowed and under the hay was beautiful lush grass.

The grass is higher than the bottom 2 steps. And Oh No! I sold the porch furniture last fall. We looked yesterday and have some picked out. We will see what is in today's ads and if nothing better---, as Wilma Flintstone always said "Charge".

This was taken Friday. It is obvious no one is minding the store. All were fishing or kayaking. And The Childers were working on cleaning up. Well, once in awhile they grabbed the binoculars and watched the pelicans. I haven't been able to get a picture of them as they are shy.
We have seen one set of goslings. It is quite late for them as usually hatch around May 1.
When we are out and about, if we see a Local, we duck in some where or turn around. Can we listen one more time how bad winter was? NO! We've had a big bunch of bad winters. Why do they think we are in Tucson???
