As The Trailer Park Turns

I haven't written here in awhile. John got the room painted before Gayle and Gavin got here. We had a good time when Gayle and Gavin were here. The weather was like all most prefect. Gayle actually got a little tan. She usually goes from very white to some shade of red. Gavin has some exciting experiences. He and Butch went on a wild golf cart ride. Butch let him drive! He is only 6 years old. Gavin story is as they went around the corner the wind hit them and they ran over a chicken, rock and a light and into Mildred's house. The chicken was a yard ornament (not a real cute one) and not hurt, darn. The light was repairable but the dent in the house shall mark the spot for a long time. Butch went to Mildred's door and confessed he lost control of the golf cart and hit her house. Gavin stepped up and said ''He let me drive". The birds have a nest in the cactus across the street. I think we all got stuck once or twice looking in at the eggs. Gavin only need to get stuck once and he wanted Gayle to take a picture and show it to him. Safer---for Gavin. That is when the cactus arm fell off on Gayle's foot. She did get a good picture.
And a new wrinkle, Gavin read us books at night.
Today we have a 'winter storm' coming through. I hope the last one of the season. It will snow in the mountains and rain on us in the valley. We can still see snow in the mountains from the last storms.
Yesterday we took the casino bus to Globe. It is a very scenic drive. Snow far off in the mountains and the wild flowers blooming. The wildflower bloom is spectacular this spring because of so much winter rain. It is a long day at the casino when one is not a gambler. They gave us each $15 when we got off the bus and I won $5 on the bus. We considered quiting right then as John and I were ahead by $35. I made a small contribution and John played with $5 for a long time and then quit. We had a good lunch.
We are hosting the Parks April party the 10th. That will keep us busy. We have good help and all should go well. Our entertainment is a group called the Tucson Prunes. They are all over 55 years old and dance, sing and do comedy. They have entertained on cruise ships, Home Shows and many other local events. Our meal will be a baked potato bar, salad and dessert. Sounds easy enough.
Our friends Fran and Dean helped us move my sister Kathy into assisted living. She seems to like it there. Her disease seems to have greatly worsened. Her balance is so bad. Her anxiety level has increased a lot since she moved. Not sure why, it seems it should lessen as she has more help.
