Tucson

We got tired of waiting for the people to actually show up and then take the trees down. Some delay was rainy weather but not every day was rainy. We packed up and took off for Tucson and when the tree guy gets the trees out--he'll find us with the bill. I think.

The trip was long as usual. The 1st day is IA and NE. Lots of farms and the harvest was in full swing. I'd see them harvesting the wheat and corn and get itchy fingers to get my mouse and harvest a long with them. The trip was uneventful, which is so good.

Tucson is still in the summer mode. It was rainy and looked like IA weather the day we got here. Since has been hot. September has had the most 'ever' days of 100+. One day last week it was 103 which broke that days record. It is a challenge to stay moderately cool or not so hot. We could go buy a window air but then it would sure cool down. Yesterday a bit of wind, dust and then rain cooled it off nicely. This week will be cooler.

The Park is not in full swing yet. Quite a few snowbirds haven't arrived yet. Usually by the 3rd week in Oct, most are here. First big get together is October Fest the 23rd of the month.

Our trailer is 25 years old and equipped with the water pipes that have a tendency to leak. Big problems when they leak between the walls, as many have done. Next Saturday we have a plumber coming to replace all the water pipes.

We are walking all most every day but early in the day. Haven't been on the bikes. Both had bad tires, one new and a patch. They get cacti thorns in them, poof--flat.

My sister, K, seems to be doing ok. She is having eye problems but is taking it all in stride.

I reread this and things are pretty boring, but boring can be good.
